LOVE AT THE MONOPRIX

Today I researched if there was love at the MONOPRIX, a Parisian supermarket.

I bought dinner and a desert which was chia seeds with a berry sauce. When I opened it I felt like it was already open, but I still ate from it, because I thought it would not be that bad. It tasted sour, but first I thought this was supposed to taste like this, because in the ingredient list I saw chia lacté and I assumed this meant it was fermented chia. Only when the dessert started to taste fouler and fouler I researched the meaning of the word and saw that it meant chia in milk!
So I went back to the counter and demanded my money back and a new dessert to cover the grief. The girl at the counter looked at me as if I was a con thief. Only after I suggested her to taste it whereupon she gave it a smell and looked away in disgust, did she believe me.
I had to wait for the chef. It took quite a lot of time, I told her I don't have much time. The chef arrived and said the date was ok so there is no problem. His female colleague told him it's foul whereupon he looked quite angry and asked me for the receipt. I didn't have one but I bought the product a minute ago and the one selling it to me remembered me. In a not so friendly manner towards me the chef then ordered that I get my money back. I then said I will write a complain at the highest director of the firm, because I could become sick from eating this, the least they could offer me was their heartfelt excuse. The female colleague responded that nobody told me to eat the foul dessert and looked at the chef to see if she sounded convincingly. All the other clients were anticipating what will happen next. Then in a moment supreme the chef walked away and took a bottle of jus d'orange and saved the day. I thanked him from my heart and when I went outside I gave the bottle of jus d'orange to a very thankful beggar.

Conclusion: the supermarket proved that Paris has love to give, but only with a little help ;)
